The functional units of Hai Phong city are rushing to complete and decorate the boat racing training area on the banks of the Gia River, in Thuy Nguyen district. This place will host the canoeing/kayak and rowing events in the 31st SEA Games.

Boat racing training area TP Hai Phong on the Gia River in Minh Duc town (Thuy Nguyen district), is the venue for organizing the competitions of boat racing (canoeing/kayak and rowing) in the 31st SEA Games to be held in Vietnam next May. .

As noted by reporters, dozens of athletes and coaches of the Vietnam national sailing team gathered at the Hai Phong City Training Area to practice and prepare for the next SEA Games.

Every day, athletes live in the living quarters in the training area and practice early in the morning and in the afternoon to complete lesson plans.

Gia River, the section through Minh Duc town (Thuy Nguyen district, Hai Phong city) is a straight, wide river with very stable water and wind. Experts assess this section of the river meets all the highest standards in training and competitions in sailing events.

After each practice session on the river, the athlete actively brought his boat to the functional area in the training area.

An athlete of the Ho Chi Minh City Sports Delegation was called to the national team at the Sailing Training Area of ​​Hai Phong City. The male athlete shared, close to the time to prepare for the competition, the coaching staff and the athletes focused on training and improving their physical strength.

Young athletes U14-U15 in the provinces are also gathered at the sailing training area of ​​Hai Phong city to practice.

A member of the national team’s coaching staff diligently corrects basic movements for young female athletes.

In order to improve the quality for the 31st SEA Games, Hai Phong City People’s Committee has approved the repair project of 3-storey executive building, 2-storey house at the city’s sailing training area.

The project also embellished and painted the grandstand area that can accommodate thousands of spectators.

Up to now, this project has basically completed nearly 80% of the items. The construction unit is completing a number of sidewalk items, decorating trees and flowers in the training and competition area.
