“The overall design concept is modern luxury,” said Jeremy Tay, the company’s co-founder. “We wanted to create a luxurious home, with lighter tones to look attractive and pleasant.”

Inspired by a series of striking wall paintings, shades of blue are used with velvet armchairs and a custom rug in the living and dining areas. The overall effect is like a spacious, elegant hotel lobby.

Jimmy Choo is one of the famous names in the fashion industry. The Malaysian-born shoe designer owns his 163m2 private penthouse. It is located in a complex of serviced apartments exclusively for hotels in Kuala Lumpur.

The common inspiration for this project was understanding Choo’s story. “We took a deep dive into his life’s journey to create a home that honors his heritage,” said Ooi Boon Seong, founder of design firm OD&A, which has carried out renovations of the property. his wealth and influence.”

Materials have been carefully selected to enhance the designer’s vision. “We used a lot of white oak planks with classic motifs throughout the house,” explains Ooi. These panels are sandblasted to emphasize the fine grain textures and finished with a light gray paint finish.

Luxury house in Malaysia

There’s no denying the escapist’s appeal to staying in luxury hotels — and they often provide inspiration for designers of private residences.

Such is the case with this nearly 400 square meter property called Nadayu in Kuala Lumpur. The three-story bungalow, perched on a slope, offers stunning views of the hilltops of the Malaysian capital.

Kashfi Emir, design director of Studio Three, was tasked with transforming this home into a hotel-like space complete with cozy seating areas throughout.

The designer explored contemporary interior options to enhance the hotel-like experience. Meanwhile, materials such as rattan are used to create a tropical aesthetic, especially given the entire lush landscape surrounding the property.

Charming house influenced by fashion

This 650 square meter family home in Singapore is a home of its own style and substance. Terri Tan, design director of Designworx Interior Consultation, created a Dior boutique inspired bedroom, while Hermès scarves are also framed as works of art. Throughout the house, there is an emphasis on designing a holistic environment based on the individual requirements of each family member.

A custom cream and black rug adds a monochromatic look to the living room. Blue tones add to the calming atmosphere. This is reflected in the turquoise upholstery fabrics from Hermès and the custom seat cushions.

Elegant, gentle house in Singapore

Inspired by the quiet luxury of hotel design, this penthouse celebrates its urban location with elegant furnishings and a soothing color palette. When stepping out of the house’s private elevator lobby, the eye is immediately drawn to the dining and living space, which has high ceilings filled with light.

To evoke the soothing vibes of an extremely unique hotel, Tan Sze Ling, design director of Topic Studio, also chose a warm palette of taupe and ivory tones for the marble floors and wooden panels.
