British University Vietnam (BUV) offers an International Foundation Program (IFP) degree awarded by the University of London (UoL).
The University of London (UK) IFP program is one of the most widely recognized university preparation programs in the world. Currently, there are more than 120 educational institutions worldwide that teach IFP programs. BUV is one of these more than 120 training institutions and the only one in Vietnam currently recognized by the University of London (Recognized Teaching Centre).
Targeted at high school students who wish to study abroad or enter an international university program, but are not yet psychologically, financially or academically prepared, UoL’s IFP program complements the basic knowledge and skills required for a certificate which is the same as a “passport” for international undergraduate degree programs. . IFP is seen as a great choice that provides a stable learning path and is a springboard for future development plans.
The advantage of IFP is that it takes students only one year to complete the course instead of two years like many other pre-university programs, reducing time and costs. Upon completion of the IFP, students can study abroad at top universities in the UK, US, Australia, Canada…, or pursue a bachelor’s degree program in Banking and Finance at BUV, which is run directly by the University of London licence.
IFP program subjects are designed by experts from leading UoL universities. Students will study four subjects in the IFP course to prepare students for accounting, mathematics and statistics, economics, pure mathematics, international relations, business and administration.
The outstanding skills that students train and develop include the ability to approach things in a multi-dimensional way, evaluate the knowledge they have learned, and the ability to think critically. These skills are not only useful for students while pursuing a bachelor’s program, but also support work and life later.
Graduating from the IFP 2020 program, Hoang Tien Dat shared: “Before studying IFP, I didn’t know much about economics, finance or cooperation, but after a year of study, I have a general background and stick to the specific knowledge that I will study as well as methods of learning and teaching at international universities”.
After attending the Cambridge ICGSE program at Nguyen Sieu High School (Hanoi), Dat found that the IPF program studied at BUV was the next step in line with his goals and learning path. Currently Dat is pursuing a degree in Finance and Banking from the University of London at BUV.
