Due to a debt dispute, Hoang Van Thien and a group of young people threw shrimp paste, pulled out a gun and shot at Mr. Thang’s house to threaten to demand money.

Police of Cam Khe district (Phu Tho) are holding criminal Hoang Van Thien (32 years old, residing in Hung Viet commune) for illegal use of military weapons.

Accordingly, around 6:30 p.m. on March 14, Cam Khe district police received news that there was a family member of Mr. Hoang Manh Thang (49 years old, in Go Thap area, Dieu Luong commune, Cam Khe district, Phu Tho province) the number of subjects riding motorbikes to the house to collect debt.

During the debt collection process, the subjects used shrimp paste mixed with paint to throw it at Mr. Thang’s house. In addition, a young man loudly threatened, and at the same time used a gun-shaped object to point at the roof of this man’s house and fired once (with an explosion) and then left.

Immediately after receiving the news, professional units of Phu Tho Provincial Police and Cam Khe District Police urgently launched an investigation.

Within 12 hours, the district police and professional units of the provincial police investigated and clarified who caused the incident.

The initial investigation determined that due to a conflict in the loan process between Hoang Van Chien (who is Mr. Thang’s son) and Hoang Van Thien, on the afternoon of March 14, 2022, Thien was with Pham The Huong (24 years old); Vu Quoc Khanh (19 years old, living in Cam Khe district); Dao Trung Kien (15 years old, residing in Viet Tri) and Tran Thanh Thao (18 years old, living in Phu Tho province) ride motorbikes to Mr. Hoang Manh Thang’s house.

When going, the subjects carried plastic bags inside containing shrimp paste mixed with paint, Thien brought a K54 gun, Huong carried a knife, a “cat knife”.

When he arrived, Khanh threw a plastic bag containing shrimp paste mixed with paint at Mr. Thang’s house.

At this time, Thien had abusive behavior and threatened Mr. Thang’s family members to demand money. Thien then pulled out his K54 gun and pointed it at the roof of Mr. Thang’s house and fired 1 shot (with an explosion) and then left.

During the investigation, Cam Khe District Police seized 1 K54 pistol, 1 ammunition box and 7 bullets with Hoang Van Thien’s gun; 2 “cat” knives molded in a wooden case.

Conducted a survey of the gun and bullets, the Institute of Criminal Science, the Ministry of Public Security concluded: The object of investigation is the type of ammunition and K54 gun (belonging to military weapons).

On March 15, the police agency of Cam Khe district police applied a measure to hold people in an emergency against Hoang Van Thien for the illegal use of military weapons.
