Recently, two more players, Xuan Truong and Hai Huy, had to be isolated because of Covid-19 infection. Both were identified as F0 during a quick test on the morning of March 19.

Facing a shortage of personnel, coach Park Hang Seo was forced to summon midfielder Ly Cong Hoang Anh from the U23 team to strengthen the Vietnamese team.
