Brothers Glaucon (7 years old) and Gleison (9 years old) went missing while hunting birds in the Amazon jungle, about 330 km from Manaus, capital of Amazonas state, northern Brazil, last month. On March 15, a woodcutter discovered Glauco and Gleison hungry, weak, and with broken skin about 6km from their home and quickly contacted the Fire Department to rescue them. .

The two brothers were transported by helicopter to another hospital in Manaus. Doctors diagnosed the condition as being severely malnourished and dehydrated, and it was possible to make a full recovery after treatment.
