Paulo Dybala – one of the three main kicking positions to have changed since the 3-0 loss to Villarreal on March 16 – opened the scoring in the fifth minute with an assist from Dusan Vlahovic. In the 29th minute, Vlahovic jumped above all to catch Di Sciglio’s cross from the right, heading it to make it 2-0.

These two early goals were enough for Juventus victory, helping them play somewhat relaxed for the more than an hour of competition remaining.

In Serie A alone, the coaching squad Max Allegri unbeaten in last 16 matches, since losing 0-1 at the hands of Atalanta in the round of 14 on 27 November last year. Thanks to 11 wins and five draws in this unbeaten run, from seventh on the day of the loss to Atalanta, Juventus moved up to fourth and has maintained their steady footing in this position over the last seven rounds.

With 59 points on hand, Juventus are also just behind Inter – a team that has played just 29 games – standing right next to a point, four points behind Napoli and seven behind leaders Milan. If you can put aside the sadness and use the defeat on the continental front as motivation, the “Old Lady” still has a chance to rise and enter the Scudetto race in the remaining eight rounds. Right in the next round, after taking a break from serving the national team, Juventus had the opportunity to jump over Between when receiving this great rival in the Italian derby on 3 April.

The 2-0 win on March 20 was good practice for Juventus before the Italian derby. Salernitana are bottom of the table and haven’t won since January 10, but prior to coming to Allianz they had drawn five of the last six matches, including once which saw Milan draw 2-2. However, Juventus, although saddened by the loss in the Champions League, easily broke this expected unpleasant opponent.

In the first half, between the two goals scored, Dybala and Vlahovic had at least two more chances to widen the gap for Juventus. But on an afternoon of ecstasy in Turin, goalkeeper Luigi Sepe took turns saving Salernitana. He went on to seal a corner, beat Vlahovic in a face-to-face in the 22nd minute, and then poured in accurate to push away Dybala’s vexing shot a minute later.

A 2-0 lead from the first half helped Juventus play a bit slack after the break. Salernitana made it easier to kick, but their efforts only stopped at some of Bonaventura’s broken phase, Verdi, but not enough to create a mutation. In the opposite direction, Mathijs de Ligt then Vlahovic also had the opportunity to widen the gap, but both were unable to beat Sepe – the best player for the away team.

But a 2-0 victory was enough to make Vlahovic and his teammates rejoice. On a personal level, the goal made it 2-0 to help Vlahovic score 21 goals in Serie A this season, catching up Ciro Immobile take the lead in the race to score goals. His existing 21 goals also helped him equal his personal record of 21 Serie A goals for Fiorentina last season, but played nine games fewer (28 compared to 37 last season).

The goal against Salernitana was also the 48th goal scored by Vlahovic in Serie A in 105 matches. The Striker thus rises to second place with senior Adem Ljajic – who also has 48 goals in 225 games for Fiorentina, Roma, Inter, Torino – in the list of Serbian players who have scored the most goals in Serie A. Leading in this statistic is Dejan Stankovic – former midfielder who scored 51 goals in Lazio and Inter colours.
