According to a Shell Vietnam announcement, the Shell Advance Fuel Economy series oils with a viscosity of 10W-30 help save gasoline and reduce friction by up to 20% compared to mineral base oils. It is a fully synthetic lubricant.

The low friction properties of this oil make the transmission more efficient, thereby increasing fuel economy. Shell Advance Fuel Economy does not use mineral base oil, because it is an oil made from crude oil, hydrogen and carbon molecules are not homogeneous, thus limiting lubrication performance. “Shell Advance Fuel Economy Scooter 10W-30 viscosity grade offers 20% less fuel economy and friction compared to mineral base oils.
