Shell Advance Fuel Save synthetic lubricants are made from liquefied natural gas, which can help save fuel and reduce friction by up to 20% with mineral oil.
Oil is the ‘lifeblood’ of a car engine. With an internal combustion engine or scooter, regular oil changes help the engine to be optimally lubricated, cool, reduce wear and increase service life. Each car manufacturer makes recommendations on the type of oil to use that is suitable for the engine.
Shell Advance Fuel Save is one of Shell’s newest line of lubricants, with the power to help scooters save fuel. According to a Shell Vietnam announcement, the Shell Advance Fuel Economy series oils with a viscosity of 10W-30 help save gasoline and reduce friction by up to 20% compared to mineral base oils. It is a fully synthetic lubricant.
The low friction properties of this oil make the transmission more efficient, thereby increasing fuel economy. Shell Advance Fuel Economy does not use mineral base oil, because it is an oil made from crude oil, hydrogen and carbon molecules are not homogeneous, thus limiting lubrication performance. “Shell Advance Fuel Economy Scooter 10W-30 viscosity grade offers 20% less fuel economy and friction compared to mineral base oils. This is thanks to the use of 100% synthetic base oils which are formulated to be produced from liquefied natural gas, which is pure and has low characteristics. friction”, said a Shell Vietnam representative.
In the face of fluctuations in world crude oil prices and gasoline prices, Shell Advance Fuel Save lubricants are an option worth considering for scooter users who want to optimize fuel consumption.
