The People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City has just issued a Decision to promulgate Regulations on the recognition criteria of schools implementing the high-quality program “Advanced School, International Integration” in Ho Chi Minh City.

According to this Decision, the construction of “Advanced School, International Integration” in Ho Chi Minh City ensures the principle of voluntary enrollment, only developing advanced schools and international integration in areas where public schools are guaranteed. for general audiences.

The school was assessed to meet the educational quality accreditation standards and was decided by the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to recognize and publicly announce it.

The purpose of building an advanced and international school is to meet the learning needs of students and the requirements of society; approach the trend of education development in the region and internationally, and at the same time ensure bold national identity; Train a team of dynamic, comprehensively developed students with creative ability, practical ability, foreign language and computer skills; meet the demand for human resources, especially high-quality, international-quality human resources to serve the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country and international integration.

At the same time, improve the comprehensive education quality of educational institutions in the direction of standardization, modernization, socialization and international integration.

Some specific criteria for each level of study are as follows:

At the preschool level, Advanced school, international integration is carried out in kindergarten classes 3-6 years old. The number of children should not exceed 30 children per class.

100% of children in the school are organized to eat as a day-board, ensuring physical and mental health, no disease and food poisoning. All children have a physical examination, measure their height and weight, and assess their nutritional status using a growth chart; monitored and evaluated according to the 5-year-old child development standards.

At the elementary level, Sno more than 35 students in each class; 100% of students have two lessons per day.

100% of teachers are required to have the ability to use English to communicate, to have a computer level that meets the standard of basic skills.

50% of students who complete the primary program get certificates, English and Informatics output standards according to international standards. All elementary school students are taught safe swimming and drowning prevention.

For middle school and high school, At least 80% of teachers have achieved the title of excellent teaching at the school level, 30% of the teachers are excellent at the district level. All teachers are able to use English to communicate.

100% of foreign language teachers have teaching language competence two levels higher than the general level.

At least 90% of secondary school graduates who can use English (the four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing) reach level A2 of the six-level foreign language competency framework. At least 90% of high school students have a B1 level or higher.

The People’s Committees of districts, Thu Duc city and the Department of Education and Training will make plans to build an advanced and integrated school. Each school level in the locality has at least one school following this model.

In 2005, Le Quy Don High School (District 3) was the first school that Ho Chi Minh City piloted an advanced school model with international integration. Up to now, there are 40 schools in the city operating under this model, including 16 preschools, 13 elementary schools, 8 middle schools and 3 high schools.
