According to the voting results that took place in early January, swimmer Nguyen Huy Hoang ranked first in the national typical athlete category in 2021. This result is completely worthy of the achievements that Huy Hoang has achieved in 2021. participating in the Tokyo Olympics, winning 2 gold medals at the 25m national swimming championship and at the 25m swimming world championship, although Huy Hoang did not win a medal, he broke his own national record at 400m and 1500m. Second place is athlete Nguyen Thi Oanh, and third place is boxer Truong Thi Kim Tuyen.
In the category of the best coach, coach Pham Minh Giang was honored to receive this title when he helped the Vietnamese futsal team reach the second round of the World Cup for the second time in a row with an impressive performance. Athletics coach Tran Van Sy and coach Park Hang-seo of the men’s soccer team were in second and third place, respectively.
In the category of typical disabled athletes, this title is no one more deserving than athlete Le Van Cong. In 2021, athlete Le Van Cong won a silver medal at the 2020 Paralympic Games and a silver medal at the 2021 World Championships in weightlifting. Coach of Le Van. Cong, coach Le Quang Thai, also became the best disabled sports coach in 2021.
