BMW iX1 – electric version of X1 revealed
A pure electric SUV model with a range of 412-438 km, interior similar to the new generation X1, was introduced at the end of the year.
The German automaker revealed design photos of the iX1, which is expected to be released later this year. The iX1 is the electric version of the BMW X1, the smallest SUV model of the X series from the German car brand.

From leaked images that show the iX1’s design with strong styling, from the headlights with angular graphics, to the grille with connecting kidney. The border of the grille is decorated with a blue line, representing a green car, like the iX3.
“The iX1 will be launched to the world at the end of 2022, both the X1/iX1 inheriting the latest technology from XM and the upcoming upgrades for the 3 and X7 series”, BMW AG representatives shared at the BMW Annual Meeting.
From previously leaked images, the X1 and iX1 share the same digital control panel, with a curved screen, and a new operating system. BMW adds that the iX1 is roomy but compact, larger than its X1 sibling.
The German automaker has yet to reveal the engine and battery specifications of the iX1, but BMW says that the car will be equipped with the latest 5th generation eDrive technology and a range of 412-438 km according to WLTP standards. .
In addition to the iX1, the new generation X1 sibling will have a large selection of engines, similar to the older X3 and iX3. The X1 SUV will be available with a choice of petrol, diesel, plug-in hybrid and pure electric engines, thanks to the flexible use of the UKL/FAAR platform.
