Galaxy S22 FE is expected to be equipped with a new super-fast chip

According to a leaked source from the Chinese account “Its Fat”, Samsung is working on a phone using MediaTek’s Dimensity 9000 chip. It is the most powerful chip ever from the Taiwanese company, with specifications comparable to Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 and Samsung Exynos 2200, powering different variants of the Galaxy S22 series.

Many sources suggest that Dimensity 9000 is even faster than Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, Exynos 2200 and Google Tensor chip on the Pixel 6 duo. Samsung will most likely equip this chip for European models, while the US and US versions will be equipped with this chip. China still uses Snapdragon 8 Gen 1.

Samsung never released a Pro version for the Galaxy A series, so it’s likely that the device will be called the Galaxy S22 FE instead of the Galaxy A53. As expected, Galaxy S22 FE will cost 700 USD (VND 16 million) in the US market.

According to the source, in addition to being equipped with the Dimensity 9000 chip, the Galaxy S22 FE is expected to have a 4500 mAh battery – the same battery capacity as the Galaxy S20 FE and S21 FE, priced from 3,000 CNY (about 11 million VND) to 4,000 CNY. (nearly 15 million VND) in China.

MediaTek is one of the important smartphone chip manufacturers in the world. It surpassed Qualcomm in CPU sales last year.

Dimensity 9000 is the latest in MediaTek’s line of mobile CPUs and is constantly being improved. The 4-nanometer layer manufacturing method used makes this the fastest and most efficient chip ever.

As of late 2021, Dimensity 9000 has not been used on any smartphones, but it is expected to launch on devices from OnePlus, Oppo and Vivo in the near future. Equipping Dimensity 9000 for Galaxy S22 FE will help MediaTek increase its brand awareness.
