Hanoi recorded 17,916 new Covid-19 cases; nearly 347,000 patients are being treated

Patients are distributed in 530 communes, wards and townships in 30/30 districts, towns.

Some districts and districts recorded many patients during the day such as: Ha Dong (1,613), Ba Vi (967), Thanh Tri (961), Hai Ba Trung (946), Dong Da (908).

This is the 10th day in a row that the number of daily cases in Hanoi has decreased. Compared with 32,650 cases set on March 8, the number of cases in the capital has decreased by nearly 15,000 cases.

Thus, the cumulative number of Covid-19 cases in Hanoi, from April 29, 2021 up to now, is 1,189,260 cases.

Also according to a report by the Hanoi Department of Health, by the end of March 20, Hanoi had 346,957 positive cases of SARS-CoV-2 being treated and monitored, a decrease of more than 32,500 cases compared to March 19.

In which, 262 cases are treated in isolation areas; 3,336 patients are being treated at the hospital (accounting for more than 0.96% of the total number of patients being treated and monitored); the remaining 343,359 people are being treated and monitored at home (accounting for more than 99%).

According to statistics of the Ministry of Health, out of more than 3,300 cases being treated at hospitals, there are 2,041 cases of moderate level, down nearly 14% compared to the average 7 days ago; 589 severe/critical cases, down nearly 9%; The number of non-invasive mechanical ventilation cases decreased to 26 cases.

Meanwhile, the number of invasive mechanical ventilation cases was 33, an increase of 16% compared to the average of 7 days ago.

Yesterday (March 20), Hanoi recorded 3 deaths. Thus, the total number of deaths from Covid-19 (from April 27, 2021 to present) is 1,300 people.

Regarding vaccination, by the end of March 19, Hanoi had 81.8% of people aged 18 and over who had received a booster shot of the Covid-19 vaccine. In addition, nearly 100% of people who needed an additional shot were vaccinated.
