Ministry of Transportation selects the new Duong bridge architectural option
The architectural plan named “Giao Duyen” was chosen by the Ministry of Transport to invest in the construction of the new Duong bridge.
Based on the results of the competition, “Giao Duyen” won first place in the design competition organized by the Ministry of Transportation. This design was created by the Big Bridge Joint Venture Company – Tunnel Design Consulting Joint Stock Company and Joint Stock Company Construction and Transportation Investment Consulting Consultancy.
The competition for the architectural design of the Duong bridge works to select the optimal architectural plan, ensuring the proper use of technical and artistic requirements, in harmony with the surrounding space, creating an architectural architectural highlight for the region and city of Hanoi.
After almost 3 months of organization, the Committee has selected 3 excellent designs for the award. The second prize named Hanoi – Cua O was also brought by the owner of the first prize. The third prize belongs to Hung Phu Trading and Construction Consulting Joint Stock Company.
The new Duong Bridge road is expected to be built 100 meters downstream from the existing bridge, serving road traffic as planned.
The old Duong Bridge will also be rebuilt to cater for rail traffic, removing girders and support dams to ensure smooth waterway traffic. The bridge will be raised to approximately 2.75 m above the rail to ensure navigation.
It is expected that the total investment of the new highway bridge is 1.793 billion VND, of which the site cleaning cost is 776 billion VND, the construction cost is 680 billion VND, the rest is project management costs. The project is expected to be implemented from now until 2025.
Over the years of operation, the Duong bridge serving the highway and railway has been overloaded and badly damaged due to traffic jams. large volumes, where many heavy vehicles exceed the design load.
