Son Duong District Police are coordinating with professional units of the Provincial Public Security Tuyen Quang conduct investigation and clarify the serious murder case causing 2 deaths occurred in Son Nam commune.
The suspect who committed the crime was identified as Tran Van Luong (34 years old, residing in Son Duong district) and the two victims were Tran Thi V. (35 years old, his wife Luong) and Tran Xuan Ph. (V’s lover).
According to the initial investigation, before that, Ms. V had been infected with Covid-19 so she stayed at the boarding house to isolate in order to avoid spreading the disease to family members.
However, after the quarantine period ended, Ms. V. did not return home despite the husband and children’s repeated urgings.
At this time, the husband knew that Ms. V’s mistress was staying at the inn with her, so she took a knife to commit the crime.
After killing his wife and lover, Tran Van Luong did not run away, but stayed at the scene waiting for authorities to arrest him.
A leader of Son Nam Commune People’s Committee said that there was a conflict between Luong and his wife before.
In the locality, Luong and his wife had 3 children together.
The current family of Luong and Ms. V. is in Binh Man village, about 1.5 km from the boarding house (where the murder took place in Binh Thai village).
