Ambassador Le Hong Truong wishes to do his best to contribute to bringing the traditional friendship between the two countries to a strong and expanding development for the benefit of the two peoples and future directions to promote the relationship between the two countries. promote the two countries’ relations in many fields, especially political, economic – trade relations and cooperation in multilateral forums.

President Ilir Meta thanked and conveyed his greetings and best wishes to the senior leaders of Vietnam. The President also reaffirmed the good relationship between Albania and Vietnam and wished that in the coming time, the two countries would take steps to promote bilateral relations to a new height, especially promoting the early signing of agreements. At the meeting, the two sides discussed many measures to strengthen bilateral cooperation, focusing on economic – trade and tourism relations; promoting the exchange of delegations at all levels such as delegations of Foreign Ministers, Regional Departments; promote the establishment of honorary consulates in the two countries; promote the Albanian side to soon approve visa exemption for ordinary Vietnamese passports.

The two sides agreed to support each other in multilateral forums. Albania wishes to receive support and learn from Vietnam’s experience during its tenure as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council 2022-2023.

Ambassador Le Hong Truong expressed his wish that Albania would support the settlement of disputes in the East Sea by peaceful means on the basis of international law, including the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea. UNCLOS) 1982.

Regarding economic cooperation, the two sides agreed to push the concerned agencies to conclude negotiations soon in order to sign important economic agreements such as the Economic Cooperation Agreement, the Investment Promotion and Protection Agreement; Agreement to avoid double taxation, in order to create a framework for cooperation in various fields; towards increasing bilateral tourism in the coming time.
