In 2021, the market ecommerce in Vietnam grew strongly when reaching sales of 13.7 billion USD, up 16% compared to 2020. COVID-19 epidemic has made the time of separation prolonged but also boosted the demand for online shopping of consumers.

Changing consumption habits of people and businesses has created a new impetus for digital economic growth and soon achieved the goal of reaching a revenue of 50 billion USD by 2025.

Not only businesses, but the growth of e-commerce platforms in 2021 also spikes compared to 2020.

According to Google data, only in the first half of 2021, the country has 74% of people using the Internet daily and more than 8 million new e-commerce users. According to a Nielsen report, more than 60% of consumers still keep their online shopping habits in the new normal, even as traditional selling practices return to the way they were.

E-commerce will increasingly account for a large proportion of commercial activities, continue to boom in 2022 and create new impetus for economic growth.

Therefore, this year, the authorities will continue to promote areas such as perfecting the electronic payment system, improving the quality of transportation and freight forwarding activities, etc. electronics will soon reach the target of 50 billion USD by 2025.
