According to Mr. Sandiaga, in the next few months, Indonesia will bring life back to normal and to do that, it will need all the support. If the Eid al-Fitr holiday goes smoothly, the process of returning to normal life needs to continue and further expand economic activities in the community.

In addition to expanding VOA, the Government of Indonesia has decided to expand the no-quarantine policy throughout Indonesia, whereby travelers only need to have a PCR test upon entry.

During the holy month of Ramadan, people can go to prayer with less restrictions. Meanwhile, the government will still apply health care procedures, ensure that people get enough basic doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, as well as speed up the booster shots.

This is part of the new economic order that the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy is actively promoting. Indonesian authorities note, during the transition, the country needs to be prepared to face many new variants of the SARS-CoV-2 virus that continue to appear. Preparations for the transition are expected to be completed by the third quarter of 2022.
