Man City has the highest income in the world for the first time
With revenues of 644.9 euros ($709 million), Man City edged Barca to the top of the Money League table from audit firm Deloitte in 2022.
Barca so badly damaged by Covid-19 that they lost the top spot they once held in the 2021 Money League. Their revenue fell from $785.9 million in 2021, to $639.7 million, a loss of 18.6%. Barca’s new position in 2022 is fourth, behind Man City, Real and Bayern Munich.

Man City rose five places to climb to the top, as revenue increased from $603.6 million to $708.8 million, or 17.4%. They are the fourth club to ever lead the Money League, after Real, Barca and Man Utd. Previously, the highest position in the history of Man City was only fifth.
Real still came in second, with $704.2 million, although revenue was down 10.4%. Royal Club is still the most traditional in Money League history, having won 12 times. Bavaria also still ranked third with revenues of USD 672 million, down 3.6% compared to 2021.
Man City’s progress also makes Manchester United dropped from the Top 4 Money League for the first time. “Red Devils” revenue fell 3.9%, to $613.3 million.
The remaining positions in the Top 10 are owned by PSG, Liverpool, Chelsea, Juventus and Tottenham respectively. In the Top 10, there are five clubs English Premier League.
