Plane crash in China: No survivors found

A China Eastern Airlines Boeing 737 flying from Kunming to Guangzhou lost contact while flying over Wuzhou city, Guangxi province. At the time of the accident, there were 132 people on board, including 123 passengers and 9 crew members.

The accident is considered China’s worst aviation disaster in nearly a decade. The investigation is currently underway.

Chinese President Xi Jinping said on March 21 that he was “shocked” when he heard about the plane crash in the Guangxi region, and requested an investigation into the incident.

CCTV quoted President Xi Jinping as saying: “I call for maximum focus on the rescue process and find the cause of the MU5735’s accident as soon as possible.”

Call to visit China about the plane crash

It was reported that yesterday afternoon, plane with number MU5735 of China Oriental Airlines carrying 132 people unfortunately crashed in Wuzhou city, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, China, this morning, President State President Nguyen Xuan Phuc sent a telegram to General Secretary and President of China Xi Jinping.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh sent a telegram to Chinese Premier Li Keqiang.

On the same day, Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son also sent a telegram to China’s State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi.
