Police reconstruct the scene where journalist Han Ni was scuffled by 4 people

Journalist Han Ni was scuffled by a group of people in front of her house on the morning of March 22.

The relevant units of the District 7 Police Department, Ho Chi Minh City, received the case of journalist Han Ni and a group of people who had a scuffle in front of journalist Han Ni’s area in Tan Thuan Dong ward.

A source of the PLO said that after receiving the case, the police of Tan Thuan Dong ward, the police of district 7 worked with journalist Han Ni and related people to clarify.

According to this source, between journalist Han Ni and a group of four people, there was a scuffle from a conflict when Han Ni went to breakfast. According to Ms. Han Ni’s report, she and these four people did not know each other.

According to Ms. Ni, on the morning of the same day she went to the restaurant in front of her house to have breakfast, then went to get her hair done, when a group of three women and one man pointed a camera at her and said she was promiscuous. After that, there was an exchange of words between Ms. Ni and the two women, and then these two rushed in and beat Ms. Ni.

Then the other two also jumped in to fight. “They grabbed my hair, scratched my face, hands and pushed me, my friend was also bitten on the hand by this group of people. My friend and I have injuries to our faces and hands…” – Ms. Ni added.

After the incident, the police of Tan Thuan Dong ward went to the scene to invite the parties to the headquarters to take statements, extract cameras, and take witness statements. The police then reconstructed the scene of the incident in the presence of the Procuracy.

Right when the incident was happening and the police were working, there appeared a number of youtubers supporting Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang to film and then post it online.

Journalist Han Ni is denouncing a number of illegal acts of Ms. Nguyen Phuong Hang.
