Shot to death for attacking the benefactor who saved his life from drowning
Recently, a man living in the US was shot and killed after trying to attack someone who had just saved him in the river.
The Oconee County, South Carolina Police Department said on March 20 that man Nathan Drew Morgan and his girlfriend fell into Keowee Lake on March 15 while using a jet ski.
Soon, an elderly couple riding a boat nearby approached and put the two on the boat for safety.
However, Morgan immediately became agitated and repeatedly became violent, even intending to attack the elderly couple. According to police reports, Morgan was in a drunken state at the time.
The couple then pushed Morgan into the water to defuse the situation. The second time was saved, but Morgan still kept a provocative attitude towards this couple.
The incident forced the 74-year-old husband to open fire to stay safe. Morgan was shot and died on the boat.
After reviewing the evidence, the prosecutor determined that this was a self-defense shooting and will not prosecute the case. Authorities did not release the identities of the shooter and his wife.
