Stop operating flights to Russia

On the evening of 22 March, Vietnam Airlines announced that it would cease operating routes between Hanoi and Moscow from 25 March until further notice.

According to Vietnam Airlines, the suspension of flight operations is because the airline needs to review and clarify procedures, requirements and regulations related to vehicle insurance and flight operations to Russia.

Passengers affected by flight cancellations will be supported to refund or change tickets free of charge to another flight when the route has been restored. The airline is also working with relevant agencies to restore operation of Russian routes as soon as possible.

Since the war between Russia and Ukraine, Vietnam Airlines has maintained direct flights to Moscow to serve the needs of the people. In addition, the airline organizes a number of flights to bring Vietnamese nationals from Ukraine home from Romaria.

Currently, Vietnam Airlines is the only airline in the country that operates flights to Russia.
