The man who lost 6 relatives in the plane crash in China

“There were 6 relatives, my friends on the flight, with my sister in it,” The man in Guangzhou said, referring to China Eastern Airlines flight MU5735 that crashed on the afternoon of March 21.

According to the original plan, he and six others, including four women, a man and a 10-year-old child, flew to Guangzhou to attend a funeral on March 23.

On March 21, a Boeing 737 bearing the number MU5735 of China Eastern Airlines crashed after taking off from Changshui International Airport, Kunming in Yunnan province at 13:15 (local time).

The plane is expected to land at 3:05 p.m. in Guangzhou city, Guangdong province on the same day. However, at 14:22, the plane lost contact.

According to the Civil Aviation Administration of China, the ill-fated Boeing 737 was carrying 123 passengers and 9 crew members.

China Eastern has not yet announced the death toll in the incident, but sends condolences to the relatives of the passengers and crew in the accident.

Mr. Lan – a relative of one of the passengers on the flight – said his sister was present on the ill-fated plane.

Mr. Lan said his sister and fiancé both work in Guangzhou. The two plan to get married in the near future.

On March 21, his sister’s fiancé went to Baiyun airport in Guangzhou to pick up his lover. When he heard about the plane crash, he immediately contacted Mr. Lan.

Meanwhile, Mr. Tong is still waiting for a reply from Eastern Airlines. His wife was a flight attendant for the airline and was a member of the crew of the ill-fated flight.

Mr. Tong said his wife has been a flight attendant for more than 10 years and has not had any problems.

The last time he contacted his wife was at 9am on March 21.

“She told me she was going to fly,” Mr. Tong recalled. After hearing the bad news online, he went to China Eastern headquarters.

Hours after the crash, Eastern Airlines’ official website turned black and white to mourn the tragedy.
