Movie Through the Lake of Chi follows Tuan (Thuan Nguyen) – a handsome finance student who comes to America and lives with his uncle Ut (Quang Minh). Here, he met his uncle’s assistant Leo (Duy Khanh) – a guy who was “drunk” by him and had an unexpected clash with Jolie (Phuong TiTi) right in the bathroom! , he and Jolie suddenly receive a tempting offer from Leo…and things start to mess up in an unexpected way.

The film chose the theme of young Vietnamese people in the US, and the director chose 100% of the setting entirely in the US. A humorous journey full of ironic situations of Tuan, the reluctant love of the duo Tuan – Jolie (played by Phuong Titi) and how the dream of young Vietnamese when coming to the US will be realized for sure. I and director Nguyen Trung Cang knew each other through social networks, when the script for this movie was available, he texted me to invite me to play the role. I feel excited when this project is carried out with a young team full of ambitions for cinema. Although this is an independent film, it is carefully trimmed. I chose to participate in this project because of the love of cinema that people pour into it rather than for the money.”
