According to the ministry, reaching a consensus is uncertain and not imminent, so Washington is equally preparing for both scenarios with or without a return of the US and Iran to the JCPOA.

US State Department spokesman Ned Price warned that Washington was ready to make “difficult decisions” to force Iran’s nuclear program back to the restrictions under the JCPOA.

On the same day, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said that the US understands Israel will not support Washington’s return to the JCPOA and he will not be caught up in a public controversy over the issue.

Speaking at a conference hosted by the news agency Ynet Mr. Bennett said: “I’m not going to argue just to argue. I’ll only fight if there’s really a good chance of success and substantial achievement. We’ve informed the American side that we’re not. are not bound by this agreement”.

Prime Minister Bennett also expressed disagreement about the possibility that Washington is considering removing Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) from the list of terrorist organizations.

Earlier, on March 17, the media reported that the US was currently considering removing the IRGC from the list of terrorist organizations, in the context of related parties preparing to reach an agreement to restore the JCPOA.

However, some US and Israeli sources have denied the possibility of a connection between the two issues.
