Microsoft has just announced the list of 20 best teams of the Imagine Cup Junior Vietnam 2022 competition. This is the first time the playground is held in Vietnam with the desire to promote creative skills, spark excitement and love technology of student age. The competition takes place in parallel across 3 regions, including Asia, America and Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA).

Imagine Cup Junior is an expanded playground of Imagine Cup – a technology innovation competition held annually by Microsoft to promote the creative thinking of millions of students around the world in the IT field, helping them to apply new technologies. latest technology to create real-life products, solutions and applications. Over the past 20 years, more than 2 million students from more than 100 countries and regions have signed up to participate in Imagine Cup.

Following the success of Imagine Cup, from 2020, Microsoft organizes Imagine Cup Junior competition for students aged 13-18 around the world to learn the most advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning… and how to apply technology to realize ideas to help change and build a better world.

Participating in the Imagine Cup Junior Vietnam competition, teams will be trained in 6 lessons on using AI technology to assist and change the complex problems facing the planet across 5 main areas including: AI for Earth, AI for Cultural Heritage, AI for Human Capability, AI for Humanitarian Action, and AI for Health.

Accompanying the teams are experts, a team of experienced Microsoft IT engineers and training partners. In particular, many of them have had experience in participating in Imagine Cup with high achievements and grown up from the Imagine Cup competition for students, and are currently holding important positions in AI in corporations. in Vietnam and other countries around the world.

In the first year held in Vietnam, the contest attracted 240 teams from junior high schools and high schools across the country registered and 84 of them were selected to enter the national round. The tests are created with many meaningful and practical solutions in life.

In particular, the field of AI for Health is the most important focus of the competition teams, with initiatives and solutions to support people with physical and mental health problems, contributing to helping doctors in diagnosing. and treatment. In particular, some ideas were evaluated by the organizers as having the potential to develop into complete solutions to be applied in life.

The tests are evaluated and scored based on 6 criteria: Creative novelty, Level of application of artificial intelligence, Potential for social and global impact, Creativity in presenting ideas, Ethics (ability to comply with Microsoft AI guidelines) and Cybersecurity Problem Solving.

The 20 best teams will be able to exchange and learn with regional teams within the framework of the ICJ Hackathon Asia which will take place on March 23, 2022. In addition, teams will have more opportunities to participate in in-depth training and receive advice and suggestions from Microsoft experts in Vietnam and the Asia-Pacific region to create the best initiatives and solutions. .
