The provision of accommodation for Ukrainians evacuate is a challenge for the EU. At this time, European countries have come up with many solutions to ensure the support of Ukrainian refugees, and at the same time reduce the load for countries with direct borders with Ukraine.
Most recently, the German Foreign Minister proposed the establishment of an air bridge to distribute the number of evacuees within the EU. Accordingly, the European Union will set up centers to receive Ukrainian refugees in the border area between Ukraine and Poland, Romania, Hungary or Slovakia and Moldova. After that, the European Union will organize flights to distribute refugees to each city of the 27 EU member states, not just concentrated in countries that share a border with Ukraine.
As planned, the first flights will be carried out this weekend. In parallel with the initiative to reduce the load for EU member states, a number of European countries such as Germany, France and Romania will hold a conference to coordinate aid for Moldova, which is not a member of the EU, to receive refugees from Ukraine on April 5. In the immediate future, about 13,000 evacuees currently in Moldova will be transferred to EU countries such as Germany, France, Lithuania and Spain.
Romania’s foreign minister said that an additional “green corridor” has been established to relieve pressure on Moldova, through which evacuees from Ukraine can enter Romanian territory from the Ukraine-Moldova border.

On March 22, the Kremlin expressed its wish, the meeting Russia-Ukraine talks is becoming “more active and substantive”, as the fighting between Russian and Ukrainian forces continues.
According to Kremlin spokesman Dimitry Peskov, Russia sent the written request to the Ukrainian side several days earlier and Moscow hopes that Kiev will give a substantive and quick answer. Peskov insisted that Moscow does not seek to establish a structure to reshape or restructure Ukraine’s local government.
Currently, the two sides are conducting online discussions regarding Ukraine’s neutral status after many rounds of face-to-face negotiations. So far, the two countries have not reached an agreement on any specific issue.
