Ho Chi Minh City expands conditions for advanced schools to integrate into the world

Specifically, a maximum of 35 students is allowed per class, instead of 30 as before. Although, the conditions for organizing this school model have been relaxed, however, schools are not easy to implement according to the new regulations. The reason is that the area of ​​the school cannot meet the current overcrowded student population.

Currently, Ho Chi Minh City only has 40 schools that can organize an advanced model of integration

Dong Da Primary School, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City has an area of ​​​​more than 5,000 m2 of floor but only accepts more than 800 students. According to the old regulations, the school meets the criteria of an advanced school and international integration, but the new regulations are not guaranteed.

Tan Binh district currently has nearly 70 public schools, but only 1 kindergarten and 1 primary school can organize an advanced integration model. The whole district still has no middle and high schools that can organize this model. Therefore, after students finished preschool and elementary school programs with advanced integration models, parents struggled to transfer their children to a regular secondary school.

Experts emphasized that in order for the international integration advanced school model to be effective, Ho Chi Minh City must organize all four levels of education in each district.

After 8 years since organizing the model of advanced school integration, there are only 40 schools in Ho Chi Minh City that can organize this model. The biggest difficulty is that the number of students is too large and the total area of ​​the school is not suitable for organization.

Ho Chi Minh City has repeatedly proposed to the Ministry of Education and Training to propose the Ministry of Construction to allow the adjustment of technical standards, increasing the number of floors and the height of schools, but it has not been approved yet.
