Hoang Duc infected with Covid19 – 2 stars

Right before the Oman match, Hoang Duc’s rapid test and RT-PCR test results showed that he was re-infected Covid-19. Along with Hoang Duc, Duc Huy was also infected.

These two midfielders will not be able to attend the last two matches of the Vietnamese team in the qualifying round World Cup 2022 meeting with Oman (March 24) and Japan (March 29). Obviously, the loss of two central midfielders at the same time makes Coach Park Hang-seo more “headaches” with the personnel plan.

Remember at the military reunion in January, Hoang Duc was also infected with Covid-19. However, he was able to recover in time to return to the match against Australia (January 27) and China (1/2).

In the past few days, this midfielder has not been in the best shape. Royal virtue had pain in the knee and had to practice separately for the doctor to monitor during the first 2 training sessions. After that, he returned to practice with the general lesson plan, but on March 22, he was absent due to health reasons.

In a press conference this morning (March 23), coach Park Hang-seo said that the Vietnamese team currently has up to 8 players who have to be isolated because of Covid-19 infection.

Before Hoang Duc and Duc Huy, names like Xuan Truong, Hai Huy, Chau Ngoc Quang, Hong Duy, Tuan Manh, Van Hoang were also found to be infected.

Rookie Dao Van Nam has recovered from Covid-19 after treatment and can join the team to practice. However, this player will not be able to go to Japan due to entry regulations (14 days after recovering from illness).
