Man who collects scrap dies after a loud explosion
On the evening of March 22, Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien – Chairman of the People’s Committee of Quang Nhan commune (Quang Xuong district, Thanh Hoa province) confirmed that an explosion had just occurred in the area, killing a man.

The incident happened at about 3pm on the same day, Mr. Mai Dinh S. (41 years old, residing in hamlet 1, Quang Nhan commune) was a scrap collector who brought warheads to the front of the house for sawing.
While using a saw to saw the warhead, it suddenly exploded, causing the victim to be seriously injured and taken to the hospital for emergency treatment.
However, because the wound was too severe, Mr. S. died later.
The cause of the incident is still being investigated by the authorities.
