After determining that goalkeeper Dang Van Lam had completely recovered from his injury, Coach Park Hang Seo immediately called back this “guardian” to prepare for the away match against Japan.

Before that, Van Lam had the main match against Australia in September 2021, but then he suffered a shoulder injury and had to undergo surgery.

Thus, after nearly half a year, Dang Van Lam played for the Vietnamese team. He missed 7 matches in the 3rd qualifying round of World Cup 2022 and AFF Cup 2020.

The Vietnamese team is facing difficulties in terms of force, including two goalkeepers with Covid-19: Van Hoang and Tuan Manh.

With the return of Van Lam, Coach Park Hang Seo is more secure in the position of holding the goal. If there are no goalkeepers injured or infected with Covid-19, Coach Park will have the best 3 keepers: Van Lam, Nguyen Manh and Tan Truong.

It is expected that, right after the match against Oman on the evening of March 24, the Vietnamese team will move to Japan.

Here, the team reunited with Dang Van Lam and had 3 days to prepare for the final match in the third qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup in Asia.
