The People’s Committee of Nghe An province has just approved the project on Developing the contingent of administrators, preschool and general education teachers in Nghe An province in the period of 2022-2025, with a vision to 2030.

According to the People’s Committee of Nghe An province, along with the rapid increase in population, the number of children, students and classes has increased sharply. Meanwhile, implementing the policy of downsizing the staff, from 2015-2020 it has streamlined 1,300 staff, leading to a shortage of many teachers at preschool and primary school levels, creating great pressure on teachers. education and society.

To develop this project, Nghe An has also made statistics and forecasted the increase in student size, number of classes and demand for teachers of all levels.

According to the forecast, by the school year 2025-2026, Nghe An province will have about 924,569 students (an increase of more than 106,000 students and young people compared to the 2021-2022 school year); It is expected that by 2030, there will be an increase of more than 120,000 students and young people.

Through the current assessment, the teaching staff of Nghe An, although the training level is high standard, still has certain difficulties. Pre-school and primary school teachers are still lacking compared to demand. School year 2020 – 2021: there is a shortage of 4,605 ​​teachers at the preschool level, 2,523 teachers at the primary level. Meanwhile, there are no professionally trained teachers to ensure all knowledge of new educational subjects and activities under the new General Education Program (Informatics and Technology in primary school). ; History and Geography and Natural Sciences at Middle School, Experiential activities).

In addition, the structure of teachers is not reasonable, the situation of partial redundancy in some subjects at lower secondary school level. There is a trend of shortage of teachers in subjects according to the new curriculum and textbooks such as: Music, Fine Arts, English, Informatics, and Citizenship Education, especially the difficulty in arranging teachers to teach different subjects. new educational subjects and activities according to the new general curriculum.

Life is difficult, working conditions are still limited, so teachers themselves are not really secure in their work. In which, from 2022 to 2025 is 400 students and from 2026 to 2030 is 600 students.

Nghe An province also aims to raise the standard of training for 1,899 teachers.

In addition, continuing to provide university training with a 2nd degree for about 1,000 teachers to teach lacking subjects with expertise close to and suitable for teachers’ capabilities (mainly teachers of Literature and Mathematics at lower secondary level, defense and security education).

In addition, in order to ensure the number and structure of teachers and educational administrators in the period of 2021-2025, with a vision to 2030, Nghe An is also expected to have a need to recruit teachers. There are 13,307 teachers in shortage and compensating for retired teachers by 2030, of which 9,523 are added to the shortage of teachers, and 3,674 people are compensated for retired teachers.
