March 23, at apartment Carillon 5, Luy Ban Bich Street, Hoa Thanh Ward, Tan Phu District (HCMC) had a serious fire, causing 2 deaths.

The victims of the fire were mother and daughter who jumped from a high floor to the ground and died.

At the time of the incident, many people witnessed the mother and daughter, NTNN (42 years old) and NTNM (18 years old), jumping from the railing area to the ground and died on the spot. This terrifying moment was recorded by the people.

Initial information, the incident happened at about 4:15, the 10th floor apartment suddenly caught fire. Discovering the incident, people and security kept trying to put out the fire, but failed due to its high position and difficult access.

Recorded at the scene, the outside of the apartment on the 10th floor and neighboring apartments was covered with black smoke. Below the apartment yard, shards of glass were scattered everywhere.

Around the apartment, the police let the cords not be let in or out. A kindergarten on the ground floor is also temporarily closed.

The initial fire area is more than 20 square meters. Many properties inside the apartment were burned down. Initially, 2 victims were identified as NTNN (42 years old) and NTNM (18 years old).

At noon on March 23, the Tan Phu District Police and the professional departments of the Ho Chi Minh City Police Department were still blocking the scene, taking witness statements.

After examining the scene, the functional forces discovered in the room where the fire broke out, there was a plastic can, a strong smell of gasoline, clothes were packed inside, and there was still a lot of ready-made food on the table.

In addition, Ms. N. also has terminal cancer and has attempted suicide many times. Recently, some people have come to her to collect debts.

Extracted from the security camera, the room made an explosion before the fire occurred. Thereby, the police determined that it is possible that the mother and daughter of Mrs. N. used gasoline to burn the apartment to suicidal.

Currently, the authorities are continuing to collect evidence and clarify the case.
