“Even though it is an extremely healthy sport, not everyone can play it. Some people have health problems such as acute medical and surgical diseases, problems with the musculoskeletal system. ; if you have disc problems… you shouldn’t play golf”Dr. Kha said.

The reason is that golfers have to walk a lot, then the musculoskeletal system will have to bear the entire body weight. Therefore, people with osteoarthritis are more likely to suffer from injuries and osteoarthritis.

To play golf safely and for good health, Dr. Vo Tuong Kha recommends players to pay attention to the following issues:

– Health check before starting to play golf;

– Check exercise equipment to see if it is suitable for health conditions;

– Support and protective tools such as gloves, clothes, hats, etc. must be suitable for the environment and seasonal climate.

– Protective equipment is required in places prone to injury such as shoulder, intercostal, lumbar region, knee…

– It is necessary to check and pay attention to the conditions of the yard and the weather to avoid slipping and falling while playing.

– Before playing, it is necessary to warm up at least 20-30 minutes before playing.

– Prepare drinking water, appropriate food supplements…
