Number of injections nationally

From 16:00 on March 23 to 16:00 on March 24, in the National Case Management System COVID-19 recorded 120,000 new infections, 8 of which were imported and 119,922 recorded domestically (down 7,886 cases compared to the previous day) in 62 provinces and cities (with 84,819 cases in the community).

– Provinces and cities with confirmed cases are as follows: Hanoi (12,485), Dak Lak (4,463), Bac Ninh (4,292), Phu Tho (4,277), Nghe An (4,184), Yen Bai (3,995) and North Vietnam. – Regions that recorded the largest drop in the number of infections compared to the previous day: Phu Tho (-1,030), Ben Tre (-738), Vinh Phuc (-690).

– Regions that recorded the highest number of infections compared to the previous day: Binh Duong (+1,400), Dak Lak (+984), Ninh Binh (+264).

– Average number of new infections in the country recorded in the last 7 days: 137,890 cases/day.

– Since the start of the epidemic, Vietnam has 8,599,751 cases, ranking 14th out of 225 countries and regions, while by the ratio of infections per million people, Vietnam is ranked 121/225 countries and regions (on average, there are 87,002 infections for every 1 million people) .

– 4th Epidemic (from 27 April 2021 to present):

+ The number of infections recorded in the country is 8,592,064 cases, of which 4,823,207 patients have been declared cured.

+ Areas with high cumulative number of infections during this outbreak: Hanoi (1,229,590), Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City (588,151), Binh Duong (367,835), Nghe An (364,680), Hai Duong (329,557).

Treatment situation

1. Number of recovered patients:

– Patients declared cured in a day: 164,754 cases

– Number of recovered cases: 4,826,024 cases

2. The number of serious patients treated was 3,650 cases, including:

– Breathing oxygen through a mask: 2,936 cases

– HFNC high flow oxygen: 355 cases

– Non-invasive mechanical ventilation: 69 cases

– Invasive mechanical ventilation: 286 cases

– ECMO: 4 shifts

3. Number of patients who died:

– From 17:30 on March 23 to 17:30 on March 24, 70 deaths were recorded in:

+ In the city. Ho Chi Minh (2) cases from the province moved to: Dong Thap (1), Binh Phuoc (1).

+ In other provinces and cities: Dong Nai (10 cases in 2 days), Ca Mau (6 cases in 2 days), Hanoi (5), Kien Giang (5), Gia Lai (4 cases in 2 days), Phu Yen (4 shifts in 2 days), Ben Tre (3), Quang Binh (3), Quang Ninh (3), Vinh Long (3), Cao Bang (2), Hau Giang (2), Khanh Hoa (2 shifts in 2 days) 2 days), An Giang (1), Ba Ria – Vung Tau (1), Bac Lieu (1), Binh Phuoc (1), Binh Thuan (1), Dak Lak (1), Ha Giang (1), Ha Tinh (1), Lang Son (1), Nam Dinh (1), Phu Tho (1), Quang Ngai (1), Thai Nguyen (1), Thanh Hoa (1), Tra Vinh (1), Yen Bai ( 1).

– Average number of deaths recorded in the last 07 days: 66 cases.

– The total number of deaths from COVID-19 in Vietnam so far is 42,145 cases, accounting for 0.5% of the total number of infections.

– The total number of deaths ranked 24/225 regions, the number of deaths per 1 million people ranked 129/225 countries and regions in the world. Compared to Asia, the number of deaths is 6/49 (3 in ASEAN), deaths per 1 million people are 24/49 for Asian countries and regions (4th in ASEAN).
