This project was started in July 2014 with a total investment of 31,320 billion VND (equivalent to 1.6 billion USD). The project passes through Long An provinces 5.49 km (including Ben Luc district, Can Giuoc district), nearly 25 km through Ho Chi Minh City (including Binh Chanh, Nha Be and Can Gio districts) and through Dong Nai province. 27,285 km (including Nhon Trach and Long Thanh districts).
This is an important project, located in the North-South expressway system. When completed, the route will help traffic between the western and southeastern provinces without having to go through the center of Ho Chi Minh City, shortening the time of circulation and transportation of goods between provinces in the region.
