Dismissal from office as a member of the People’s Council for participating in cockfighting for money
Mr. Ngo Van Tuan was removed from office as a member of the People’s Council.
At this meeting, the delegates agreed with the proposal of the Standing Committee of Bac Lieu City People’s Council to remove Mr. Le Chi Huong from the position of City Council member for violating the standards of People’s Council deputies.
Previously, on December 19, 2021, Mr. Le Chi Huong, then Standing Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People’s Council of Ward 2, a member of the People’s Council of Bac Lieu City, was arrested by the Chau Thoi Commune Police, Vinh Loi District, Bac Lieu province was caught participating in cockfighting for money. Vinh Loi district police fined Mr. Huong 1.5 million dong.
On January 28, 2022, the Inspection Committee of Bac Lieu City Party Committee issued a Party warning against Mr. Huong. Currently, Mr. Huong has been assigned to the Interior Department of Bac Lieu City to wait for the assignment.
