Recently, many customers in Da Nang have reflected that when they contacted the hotline on the website with VNPT interface to install the network… but the technical staff came from another unit. , not under VNPT.

Before that, in January 2022, Mr. PVT, a resident of Da Nang had trouble using the network at home. Searching online, he found a website with the logo of the VNPT network operator (the network operator he was using).

Calling the phone number displayed on the page, he was exchanged by a consultant and told that he would come for a technical inspection at home.

After checking the line and system, the technical staff said that his home network had a problem caused by the transmitter, it would take him about 15 days to fix it. But if you switch to another network, the technical staff will fix it right away.

Realizing that there was an unusual problem, Mr. T refused to switch to another network and continued to search for VNPT’s hotline. After finding the correct support phone number of this carrier, Mr. T was checked and the problem was fixed.

Having the same problem as Mr. T, Ms. NTLP in Ngu Hanh Son (Da Nang City) through a Google search, called a hotline with information showing VNPT to report a service failure.

After receiving complaints, FPT’s staff came to her house and said that VNPT’s infrastructure is now exhausted in this area, moreover, her equipment is old and needs to be replaced. At the same time, FPT is currently a partner of VNPT in this area and advised her to switch to FPT network.

Realizing that there were abnormal signs, Ms. NTLP did not agree to switch to the network operator as FPT technical staff advised.

According to research, these people not only put the VNPT logo on the website but also show it in the domain name, confusing customers.

Talking to the press, the leader of VNPT Da Nang said that this is a manifestation of unfair competitive behavior. This representative added: “Particularly for the above fake cases, in order to protect the interests of customers and VNPT’s brand, the unit has reported to the competent state agency to take measures to prevent and deal with it. strictly handle fake objects with dirty competition tricks above to scam customers.

Some subjects and cases have been reported to the Da Nang City Police, the Da Nang Department of Information and Communications is verifying the investigation to take measures.”

Related to this incident, on February 24, 2022, Da Nang Department of Information and Communications had a meeting to handle VNPT Da Nang’s complaints about FPT Telecommunication Joint Stock Company – Da Nang Branch.

At the end of the meeting, Mr. Le So Phong, Deputy Director of the Department of Information and Communications of Da Nang City, requested FPT Telecom Da Nang to give a written response, committing to rectify, not to let the above incident happen. .
