Invented part of the engine, the wing of the Chinese plane

Chinese rescue teams recovered engine and wing parts of the China Eastern plane that crashed to the ground earlier this week.

Central television station China CCTV reported today that firefighters at the crash site of China Eastern Airlines flight MU5735 found parts of the plane’s engines. The news came as rescue teams removed massive debris from the scene.

Zhu Tao, an official with the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), later confirmed that authorities had found the propeller blades, parts of the turbine and engine mounts, side fins, and the transmission system. the tip of the wing. The plane’s engines were manufactured by CFM, a joint venture between General Electric and France’s Safran.

The 1.3-meter-long piece of a suspected Boeing 737 was found about 10 kilometers from the scene, prompting authorities to widen the search area.

A China Eastern Boeing 737-800 carrying 123 passengers and 9 crew crashed on a mountainside in Teng county, Wuzhou city, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, southern China, on March 21.

Four days after the crash, Chinese officials said no victims had been found, but had not declared all 132 people on board dead. Rescue teams found human remains at the site where the plane crashed on March 23, but did not rule out finding survivors trapped on the slopes of a mountain full of trees and mud.

This accident had a serious impact on China’s aviation industry and ended the country’s and the world’s aviation industry’s 12-year record of safe aviation. Chinese officials said they could not immediately comment on the cause of the plane’s crash.

Search teams yesterday found the black box containing the cockpit voice recorder and sent it to Beijing for analysis. Experts hope the black box will help provide clues as to the cause of the crash, which caused the plane to fall almost vertically from nearly 9,000 meters to the ground at high speed.

Data from flight tracking website FlightRadar24 shows the plane plunged from 8,800 meters to 2,263 meters in just over a minute. The pilot appeared to have regained altitude by then, but the plane continued to dive.

Flight captain MU5735 has more than 6,700 flight hours, first officer has more than 31,000 hours and second first officer has more than 550 hours. Prior to the crash, all three pilots were in good health and had no personal problems.
