Decree No. 18/2022/ND-CP on foreign affairs stipulates as follows:

“State visit” is a visit with the highest level of state etiquette for the visiting head of state and the head of the ruling party who is the guest of the General Secretary of the Party Central Committee. Communist Vietnam and the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; The head of state of the guest country is the guest of the President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

“Official visit” means a visit by a foreign high-ranking guest to Vietnam at the official invitation of the Leader of the Party and State of Vietnam with lower rituals and reception measures than a state visit. and specified in this Decree.

“Working visit” means a visit by a foreign high-ranking guest to Vietnam at the invitation of the Leader of the Party and State of Vietnam with the working program exchanged and agreed to apply ceremonial measures. New abbreviated, simple.

“Internal visit” means a working visit without news on the mass media of foreign high-ranking guests to Vietnam under the agreement of the Leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam, to discuss the issues. specifically in the relationship between the two parties.

“Personal visit” is a visit for personal purposes, and at the same time, it can be combined with the purpose of strengthening bilateral relations through personal-personal relationships between leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam. with foreign high-class guests.
