In the first leg, Vietnam took the lead thanks to Tien Linh at the end of the first half, but lost 1-3 in reverse because of fixed situations – including a corner kick at the beginning of the second half.

Talking about this weakness, coach Park Hang Seo said: “Obviously, in the first leg we lost to Oman from a corner situation. We understand. In the second leg, the team will focus more on this issue. The coaching staff has given the players a lot of practice. Now the players all understand how to deal with that kind of corner kick.”

“In the first leg, Vietnam lost to an Oman with a higher FIFA position, more strength. But they are not too scary, not a terrible opponent,” added the Korean leader.
