Not afraid of being hacked by Anonymous for revealing company data a few weeks ago

The explosive development of information technology also entails many big problems, one of which is security. It is no coincidence that large companies and corporations are willing to spend a lot to protect their important data.

However, Nestlé, the world’s largest food and beverage company, seems to be bucking the trend. They apply a method that perhaps not even the top security experts dare to think about: No one will be able to hack their data if they actively expose their data.

Anonymous claims to have stolen Nestlé’s data, but the company is not afraid because the data has been leaked on the Internet many weeks ago.

Just kidding, but specifically the fact that recently, the notorious hacker group Anonymous has announced that it has successfully stolen and leaked a large amount of Nestlé data. Immediately, the company representative responded that this was completely impossible, because those data were accidentally “smuggled” out a few weeks ago. to hack again.

In an email to Gizmodo news agency, a Nestlé spokesperson denied Anonymous’ claims of stealing and making 10GB of data publicly available from the largest global food and beverage corporation. The purpose of Anonymous is to punish Nestlé for not withdrawing from Russia like many other large companies. This data was posted on the Internet on Tuesday (March 22), including internal emails, passwords as well as customer information of Nestlé.

There’s nothing wrong with a data leak if the data was leaked several weeks ago.

However, Nestlé was quite calm about this incident and firmly affirmed that Anonymous was just “slashing”, because the pile of data they “hacked” was actually leaked before. A company representative said:That incident happened back in February, when some random test data and some B2B data were accidentally posted online in a short period of time.

“Some public data, such as name, address, partner company email, has been posted online for several weeks. Our security team discovered this issue early and took appropriate action. Those data are prepared for a B2B website to test certain functions.”.

Although Nestlé did not specify whether this was an internal data leak incident carried out by company insiders, it is clear that Anonymous’s statement is nothing more than a joke to them. Even more humiliating, this group of hackers claimed to have stolen and made 10GB of data public, but in fact only about 5.7MB was publicly available on the Internet.
