One Piece Film Red unveils new Straw Hat Pirates costumes, Zoro looks like a French aristocrat and Sanji carries a sword

As revealed by Mantan Web, Monkey D. Luffy and the crew of the Straw Hats will have new looks in One Piece Film Red. These new designs will be the second new outfits the crew will wear in the film. The first outfit was unveiled at the Jump Festa in early January this year. In contrast to the previously revealed outfits, the designs in the new outfit are much more intricate and artistic.

One Piece Film Red is the 15th theatrical film of the One Piece franchise. Author Eiichiro Oda is overseeing the production of the new film as a content supervisor. Oda previously revealed that the idea for the film started with the author wanting to add a new female character to the story. Oda once said that: “I’m so tired of drawing legendary old ladies in movies! I want to draw a new female character! That’s the character I want to do right now! And that’s how it started”. The script for One Piece Film: Red is written by Tsutomu Kuroiwa, who previously wrote One Piece Film: Gold.

One Piece Film: Red will see the Straw Hats travel to an island where a music festival is being held. Red-Haired Shanks, captain of the Red-Haired Pirates and one of the four Yonko of the New World, will play an important role in this film’s story.

One Piece was first published on the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump in 1998. In the 24 years since its debut, the story of Luffy and his quest for treasure known as One Piece has become a selling manga series. bestseller of all time, with about half a billion copies in circulation around the world.

The One Piece anime adaptation is produced by Toei Animation, first launched in 1999 and has aired over 1000 episodes. The series was recently on an indefinite hiatus following a hacking incident targeting the animation company, which affected the anime’s broadcast schedule.

One Piece Film Red was previously announced to have a release date of August this year in Japan. Currently, there has not been any announcement on whether the Toei Animation hack has caused this project to be delayed.
