Quang Tuan: ‘My remuneration goes straight to my wife’s account’
Actor and wife Quang Tuan – Linh Phi have never been angry with each other for more than two days during their nine years of love.
Quang Tuan, born in 1985, appeared in many film projects such as 1990, Satan, Very easy job… Actors talk about family, career on the occasion of horror films Satan Released in theaters on March 18th.
– Born a theater actor and then acted in TV series, the opportunity that brought you into the field of cinema?

– How do his wife and manager – singer Linh Phi – support him at work?
– The most advantageous thing is that the wife understands her work. While acting in movies or dramas, Tuan plays a lot of “hot” scenes. The wife always follows closely and is never jealous. Time and time again, he criticized me for acting in unreal kissing scenes and said that he had to watch foreign films to study. The female stars I’ve co-starred with, such as Phuong Anh Dao, Hoang Yen Chibi, Dieu Nhi, and Diem Phuong are all close to my wife.
I thanked my wife for her sacrifice, accepted to step down to help me develop my career. If I put myself in that position, I don’t think I would dare give up my career to step back and support him like him. Before the wedding, I had to take care of the shooting schedule and negotiate the salary myself. Now I just need to read the script, research the characters and coordinate with co-workers to play the best.
At home, the wife is the head of the economy. My salary was directly transferred to my wife’s account. I thought that I worked hard to take care of my family. I don’t care about money, as long as I can do what I like and support my wife and children.
– What is the secret to nurturing your relationship with your husband and wife?
– Two people with the same opinion, looking in the same direction to raise a family. When I go out, if I argue, I often raise my voice, but my wife never argues in front of friends. When he came back he whispered that I was wrong. Only then did I think back and feel guilty. Tuan is a joker, so when his wife is angry, he often teases her to the end. As a man, I thought it would be okay if I went to the water first and apologized to my wife. From the very beginning of love, the couple had not been angry with each other for more than two days.
Even though I’m busy, I always take the time to help my wife with housework and take care of the kids. Almost two years ago, my wife became pregnant due to social distancing, so the whole family had to stay at home. I had plenty of time to take care of my wife and children, until Gao was over a year old. When I wake up, I help my wife change the diaper. At night, I feed my children so that my wife can rest for more milk. It was a fun time to share with family. Baby Gao is also very attached to his father.

– How are you preparing to play a single dad in “Blindness”?
– When I accepted the project, I was not allowed to be a father in real life. I researched and consulted with some of the directors I have worked with, such as Nguyen Duc Hieu, Vu Truong Khoa – who have children. The brothers talk about being away from home and how they miss their family. In addition, director Le Van Kiet also helped me a lot when he incarnated this character. Another good thing is that I’ve been co-stars with Cat Vi and Lam Thanh My, so I’m close. The three “father and son” create closeness and become a catalyst on screen.
I remember falling from upstairs to the ground. As someone who is afraid of heights, I feel my legs go numb when I stand on them. The lifeline looked so small and tattered as if it was about to break. The director also saw the confusion in my eyes. I asked director Le Van Kiet for an action but I couldn’t. I had to do it five or six times to get it done.
– After more than 15 years in the art world, how do you view your acting career?
– Tuan is a person who is easily satisfied in life. I am happy that I can live with my job and support my wife and children. However, at work, I always aim for perfection. If you are pursuing to become a real actor, you must always learn and improve day by day. For example, viewers might like Quang Tuan di Satan but I might get fired if it doesn’t change in a few years.
I often sit and watch movies after they come out. The audience also commented very sincerely, stating their good and bad points. Sometimes, I regret the performance and think I could have done it a different, better way. Perhaps, most actors feel that way. However, I always remind myself to do the best I can.
