Tornadoes destroy many homes in the US

Many states in the US such as Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi and Alabama have been hit by tornadoes, causing a lot of damage to both people and property.

According to the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology of Paraguay, the amount of rain recorded when the storm made landfall reached 70mm. The storm killed three people, including a 2-year-old girl, and many families had to evacuate.

Earthquake shakes Taiwan (China)

A magnitude 6.6 earthquake occurred off the coast of Taiwan (China). The quake and a series of aftershocks shook buildings, lost power in some areas, damaged roads and collapsed a bridge section in Hualien County, eastern Taiwan.

Authorities reported that one person was injured but fortunately not too seriously.
