Vietnam U23 midfielder absent from SEA Games 31

In the 52nd minute, while trying to prevent the Iraq striker’s breakthrough, Quang Vinh lost momentum and pressed his left foot from behind. The Vietnam defender collapsed on the pitch in pain. Even though he was treated by a doctor, he couldn’t continue playing. As he left the field in an ambulance, the Vietnam U-23 midfielder burst into tears.

The results of today’s film, March 24, show that the Vietnam midfielder has suffered a left ligament injury. Quang Vinh will undergo surgery, and was unable to recover in time to attend the SEA Games at home in May. Previously, Quang Vinh also suffered a serious injury and had to undergo surgery.

Quang Vinh, born 1999, from Soc Trang, height 1m76. He started both matches against Myanmar and Taiwan with a 1-0 scoreline in the U23 Asia 2022 qualifiers, helping Vietnam win a ticket to the final. Quang Vinh was also called up by coach Park Hang-seo to prepare to face Australia and China in the third qualifying round of the 2022 World Cup – Asia region. However, because he later contracted Covid-19, his name was crossed out when Mr. Park closed the registration list.

In the 2022 V-League, Quang Vinh was used by coach Phan Thanh Hung in the last four rounds of the Da Nang club.

The Dubai Cup is the last tournament for Vietnam U-23s to test the fire, before returning home to attend the SEA Games. Lieu Quang Vinh was one of the key factors that Coach Park built for plans to defend the gold medal.

Vietnam will meet Croatia in the second round of the 2022 Dubai Cup on March 26.
