On March 25, Can Tho Central General Hospital said that a 27-year-old male patient had just performed surgery to remove a very large stone in the bladder.

Patient DVH (27 years old, in Hau Giang) was transferred to Can Tho Central General Hospital, with left back pain.

5 years ago, the patient performed endoscopic left urolithiasis at a hospital in Ho Chi Minh City. After lithotripsy, the patient had a JJ catheter.

The doctor told him to return to the hospital for a follow-up examination to remove the JJ tube. However, the patient did not re-examine and forgot 1 catheter in the body. Patient H. often has pain in the hips, back, sharp urine, hematuria.

In particular, the patient twice urinated on a long wire, so he thought the catheter was completely out.

The results of ultrasound and computed tomography showed that the left kidney was waterlogged in grade II, there was 1 stone in the pyelonephritis – ureter and 1 very large stone in the bladder; 1 piece of JJ pipe…

Through consultation, the doctor decided to do laparoscopic surgery to remove kidney stones and open surgery to remove bladder stones for the patient. As a result, 2 stones weighing 300 grams were removed from the patient’s body.

Currently, the patient’s health has improved, the incision is dry, there is no fever, and his survival is stable.
