The Vietnam News Agency correspondent in the Czech Republic had an interview with Vietnamese Ambassador to the Czech Republic Thai Xuan Dung about assisting Vietnamese people in evacuating from Ukraine to the Czech Republic and other countries, especially countries in Central Europe. , bordering and near Ukraine.

According to Ambassador Thai Xuan Dung, following the direction of the Government, the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Vietnamese representative agencies in Ukraine and neighboring countries of Ukraine, including the Czech Republic, it was time to Time to implement measures to evacuate Vietnamese people out of war zones, support people to temporarily stabilize their lives at the evacuation places, or return home on free rescue flights operated by the Government of Vietnam. organization.

Defining citizen protection as one of the key work areas of the Vietnamese representative missions abroad, immediately after receiving the direction of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Vietnamese Embassy in the Czech Republic implemented the following measures: measures to support Vietnamese citizens in evacuating from Ukraine to the Czech Republic and neighboring countries. The Embassy sent a note to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic asking relevant competent agencies to support and facilitate Vietnamese citizens to enter, transit and stay temporarily when evacuating from Ukraine to Vietnam. The Support Board immediately set up a Facebook page to post notices on policies and regulations of the EU and the Czech Republic for evacuees from Ukraine, including Vietnamese; policies, measures and work have been implemented to support Vietnamese citizens to evacuate from Ukraine.

The support board has sent many volunteers to the pier and bus to pick up and encourage Vietnamese people to evacuate from Ukraine to the Czech Republic, and at the same time provide legal advice for them to consider choosing to stay in the Czech Republic. or continue to move to countries with more appropriate regulations on entry, residence, and good accommodation and accommodation for evacuees. Those who decide to stay in the Czech Republic are supported with accommodation, furniture, necessities for living and registered with the Czech competent authority. Since the outbreak of the conflict, approximately 300 Vietnamese evacuated from Ukraine to the Czech Republic have received legal assistance and living conditions.

Ambassador Thai Xuan Dung said that with the good tradition of “patriotism and love for the nation” of the Vietnamese people, with national love and compatriotism, responding to the call of the Support Committee, the Vietnamese community in the Czech Republic donated and through the Vietnamese Embassy transferred 20,000 euros (US$22,000) to the Vietnamese Association in Poland and Romania to buy essentials and necessities to support the Vietnamese community from Ukraine to evacuate to these two countries. The support board has also mobilized 3 relief trucks to send to the Fire and Rescue Department of the capital Prague (Czech) to help those who come to Prague due to the impact of the conflict in Ukraine.
