In the 1990s, Kim Thuy joined Minh To’s troupe and starred with artist Linh Chau in historical dramas. After the reformation fell, he also left the singing group. In 2007, after years of absence, he appeared in the drama Lan and Diep at the Tran Huu Trang Theatre. When her husband died more than 10 years ago, she opened a banh xeo shop on Ta Quang Buu Street (District 8) to raise two grown daughters.
